Obiano Restates APGA's Commitment To Capture More States


Governor Willie Obiano says the expected victory of APGA in Saturday's Senatorial Election will provide the momentum for the Party to make in-roads into other SouthEast States.

Governor Obiano was speaking during an APGA campaign rally for Saturday's Anambra Central Senatorial District Rerun Election held in Awka South Council Area.

Awka Township Stadium ,venue for the rally attracted major political stakeholders in the Council Area including National and State Assembly members, APGA faithful and supporters among many others.

Governor Obiano while addressing the mammoth crowd that turned out to receive the APGA campaign train, revealed that the INEC has given the assurance that the election will hold and every necessary measures have been put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise.

The Governor who is the Chairman of Chief Victor Umeh Election Campaign Committee thanked the people for voting massively in support of his re-election bid and urged them to do same for Chief Umeh expressing confidence that he will not disappoint the people.

The Member representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chief Anayo Nnebe said Ndi Anambra Central have brought out their best in Chief Umeh, adding that he will make a formidable team with Governor Obiano to bring dividends of good governance to the people.

In his remarks, the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye emphasized that Governor Obiano has provided the quality leadership that has garnered massive support for APGA across board and the party is presently advancing towards becoming a true national party.

The APGA Candidate for the election, Chief Victor Umeh pointed out that the election is in the best interest of Ndigbo and promised Ndi Anambra Central quality representation at the Red chambers.

In their separate remarks, the Member representing Awka South One Constituency in the State Assembly, Bar Harford Oseke and his Awka South Two Constituency counterpart, Dr Nnamdi Okafor acknowledged that Chief Umeh has worked tirelessly for the advancement of APGA and the election presents an opportunity for the people to pay him back, assuring that people of the Council Area will vote massively for him.

The Governor had earlier led the campaign train to Awka North Headquarters, Achalla for the campaign rally in the Council Area.
